An Air Force Veteran, volunteer passionate in serving my Communities. Passionate about volunteerism and community engagement. After retiring at age 62, it was my goal to find a space that I would be able to use my time, talents and treasures to benefit others. Alter Dementia is that primary space.
Assist Churches and Faith-Based organizations to reflect a supportive environment for families affected by dementia through education, environmental modifications, and the implementation and expansion of dementia and brain health resources and support programs. Assist in creating dementia friendly Congregations by inspiring and equipping Congregations to include those living with dementia and their caregivers. Keeping them actively involved in their spiritual journey. Assisting churches in implementing activities that create a dementia-friendly environment. Supporting churches throughout the United States by establishing relationships with local, state and nationwide organizations, focusing on dementia, other related dementias and brain health.
