Gail Aflalo

Gail Aflalo is a recent graduate of the University of Houston with a B.S. in Biology and a Minor in Medicine & Society. She will attend the UH College of Optometry to pursue her doctorate and aspires to complete a residency in specialty contact lenses. Gail co-founded Brain Haven, a startup developing non-invasive multisensory therapies for early-onset dementia patients, and helped establish Mariachi Sana Sana, Houston's first nonprofit mariachi band, which brings music therapy to underserved communities. Passionate about research, innovation, and service, she is dedicated to bridging healthcare disparities and ensuring that vision care is a fundamental right, not a luxury.
