Short Biography: 
Michael Alan Anderson is Professor and Chair of the Musicology Department at the Eastman School of Music. He arrived at Eastman in 2008, but only recently has pursued the arts in health. His participation in the Sound Health Working Group at the University of Rochester and with Eastman Performing Arts Medicine Center led to his founding in 2024 of the ENCORE Chorus for people living with Alzheimer’s Disease and related dementias and their care partners.
