Short Biography: 
Raffaella Lanzarotti is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and co-founder of the Perceptual Computing and Human Sensing (PHuSe) Lab. Her expertise lies in artificial intelligence, with a focus on perceptual computing and human sensing. Her research seeks to develop biopsychosocial models to analyze human identity, affective expressions, cognitive and emotional states, and non-verbal behaviors.

She has contributed to over 10 projects related to human sensing, including serving as Principal Investigator for a national project aimed at monitoring the well-being of elderly individuals. Additionally, she was the Scientific Coordinator for the University of Milan in a project that integrated facial expressions and biosignals in individuals with eating disorders. Currently, she leads a national project titled "BrainCap and BrainNet: An Affordable Integrated Solution for EEG Acquisition, Analysis, and BCI System Development".

Raffaella Lanzarotti has authored more than 70 publications in international peer-reviewed journals and conferences. Since 2022, she has served as an Associate Editor for the IEEE journal Transactions on Emerging Topics in Computing.
