Short Biography: 
Rebecca J. Froman Freiman, MA, LPMT, MT-BC, is the Director of Greater Chicago Music Therapy and has been a board-certified music therapist since 2005. Greater Chicago Music Therapy provides music therapy services for adults with dementia, neurodiversity, neurological disorders and disabilities, as well as those receiving hospice care. As a mobile practice, the team travels as well as works via telehealth to actively engage clients in individual and group music therapy sessions using a strengths-based creative approach to address psychological and physiological health, well-being, and overall quality of life.

At the University of Michigan, Rebecca earned her undergraduate degree in music and psychology and she completed her music therapy equivalency and Masters degree at University of Iowa in music therapy. Rebecca has clinical experience working on staff in a long term and sub-acute skilled nursing care community, on a hospice team, and has published research about music therapy and multicultural practice. As a speaker, Rebecca has presented at organizations such as the Alzheimer’s Association National Headquarters, American Society on Aging, Case Management Society of America, and provides training and consultation to others working with older adults. She is currently serving as a representative of the Great Lakes Region on the American Music Therapy Association Assembly of Delegates.
