Short Biography:
I am a graduate student in the Department of Psychological Sciences as Rice University and a member of the Neuroscience of Memory, Mood, and Aging Laboratory. My research interests center around the interactions between music, emotion, and episodic memory. Specifically, I am interested in the underlying neurobiological mechanisms that support music’s beneficial effects on memory, and how music may be leveraged effectively as a therapeutic intervention for those with memory disruptions, such as patients with Alzheimer’s Disease and those with mood-related disorders like depression.
