Short Biography: 
Amy Lam is a senior at Rice University from Long Beach, California. She is majoring in Cognitive Science with minors in Data Science and Entrepreneurship. Amy has worked as a research intern at the NSF-REU program in Neurotechnologies at the University of Houston, where she led the analysis of EEG data collected from live performing musicians. She has also worked as a research assistant at The Neuroscience of Memory, Mood, and Aging Lab at Rice University, where she studied the relationship between music, emotional arousal, and memory. Amy is fascinated by studies examining interactions between music and the brain, especially those related to memory, emotion, and perception. She looks forward to expanding her knowledge of these topics as she goes forth in her career. In her free time, she enjoys listening to jazz and classical music, going to local concerts, playing the violin, and making earrings.
